Camp John Hay is a well-known tourist
spot in the small city of Baguio, north of Metro Manila.. But long before CampJohn Hay became a developed area, it used to be a military reservation for the
United States Army named after President Theodore Roosevelt's Secretary of
State, John Milton Hay.
BCDA is claiming that the camp will
finally be transferred back and will be handled by the government. If this is
the case, then BCDA is giving false statements. “Finally, the records of the case
reveal that the factual allegations of the parties already refer to the merits
of the controversy between them, which is the alleged breach of their RMOA
(Restructuring Memorandum of Agreement).
These issues are best threshed out in
the appropriate arbitration proceedings". This is part of the statements
that were omitted by BCDA to mislead the public.
And so the battle goes on and on in
what seems like forever. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA)
versus the Camp John Hay Development Corporation (CJHDevCo) case is taking too
long to be resolved. But what really happened here?
CJHDEVco is
satisfied that the arbitral tribunal rejected the BCDA's case for back
rentals which they have constantly stressed that is was never due. They are additionally
thankful that the generous rentals the organization paid over the span of over
more than 10 years, were requested come back to CJHDevCo. In any case, they are
presently considering their legitimate alternatives.
BCDA figured in a related
fracas with SMLI last year after a heavily-armed security group led by Casanova
himself made a last-ditch attempt to block the May 16 inauguration of the SM
Aura mall, which is right across the street from the Ayala-owned Market!
Market! mall at BGC.
But even without all the
legalese, the simple question is how—as what Casanova wants the public and the
courts to believe.
